• How much do you pay with the new minimum wage and wage subsidy?

    The minimum wage in New Zealand has been increased from $17.70/hr to $18.90/hr from 01/Apr/2020. Some businesses receive Covid-19 wage subsidy, which is $585.80 for a full-time and $350.00 for a part-time employee.

    The table of Gross and Net payment amount is temporarily prepared for the new minimum wage, $18.90/hr, and the following conditions:

    Tax code: M

    KiwiSaver: Employee deduction 3%, Employer contribution 3%, ESCT 17.5% or 10.5% depending on Gross amount

    Without Student Loan Repayment

    Working hours: 10 - 40 hrs, every 5 hrs

    Percentage: 100% and 80% (This is from payment conditions of Covid-19 Wage Subsidy)
